Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our Story
As students we all came together after competing together in a 52 hour long start-up competition, creating an idea that would revolutionize airline travel. While pursing this endeavor, we all realized each of us held a passion for food, and took turns hosting the team at our homes to cook for each other.

We realized, as most students do, we never had the right cooking ingredients, our fridges seemed empty, food was always past its good to eat date, our freezers were jammed packed with all of our roomate's food, and we always ran out of time to make food anyway while focusing on our startup-idea. This kept leading to another Uber Eats, GrubHub, or Dominos order, as we couldn't stand having another Cup Noodles ramen bowl.

So we decided that we wanted to solve the problem that many students and young adults have: Having a meal option that can be prepared in minutes, is shelf stable for up to 12 months, tastes amazing, and is also nutritious. So we created Yumuri.
